Brown noise, also known as red or Brownian noise, is a low-frequency noise with a spectral density inversely proportional to the frequency squared. It has a deep, rumbling quality and is often compared to the sound of a waterfall or rushing air. Brown noise is commonly used for relaxation, sleep, and masking other sounds.

Pink noise, on the other hand, is a type of noise that has equal energy in each octave. It has a more balanced distribution of frequencies compared to white noise, meaning that each octave carries an equal amount of power. Pink noise is often described as having a gentle, soothing quality and is known to resemble the sound of falling rain or a steady heartbeat.

When combining brown and pink noise, you may obtain a sound that blends the unique characteristics of both types. This sound has a fuller frequency spectrum compared to pure brown or pink noise alone. It has a nice low-frequency rumble and depth of brown noise, providing a grounding and relaxing quality. Simultaneously, the pink noise component contributes to a more balanced distribution of frequencies, creating a gentle and soothing texture throughout the sound.

This audio combination of brown and pink noise produces an auditory experience that offers the deep qualities of brown noise combined with the balanced, soothing nature of pink noise.

~I am enjoying this brown and pink noise mix... it calms my mind.

Sending you my love,

Angélique
