3. Mother’s Day Episode
Manage episode 291401931 series 2917245
I love that this podcast is launching the week of Mother's Day. It's so special to get to think about motherhood, speak to it, and connect with people on it. Many of us dreamed of growing up and being moms. I can't wait to share stories of women who didn't dream of that and became moms. There are all different sizes, shapes, and shades of motherhood; there is no one right way to be a mom. Plus, there's no one right way to make this journey of motherhood. Tune in as I share where I learned how to be the mother I am today, and I read a poem that I wrote for my mother.
In this Episode:
- [ 2:40 ] I share the story of my childhood
- [ 5:30 ] The things you wish you could tell your mom now that you are one
- [ 7:30 ] A poem that I wrote to my mother
Quotes:
- “I have so much respect for twin moms and multiple moms because y'all are the MVPs.”
- “Children don't see the flaws we see ourselves.”
- “A lot of us just think how amazing our parents are.”
- “I never realized how much you sacrifice to give us the best life possible.”
- “You gave us comfort and safety when you sometimes didn't have it for yourself.”
