Have you ever wondered why the person you want to have a relationship with isn’t ready, or doesn’t seem to be on the same page as you? We want other people to be ready to make changes at the same time that we are ready. But that is rarely the case, and we can’t make someone else ready for change.

We have to ask the hard question of, are we making someone else a priority over ourselves. Because we have our own traumas, our own experiences, and our own things that we have to work through and we have to work through those and find joy for ourselves. We can’t expect other people to fill that void and we can’t expect others to be seeking out the same things at the same time as us.

Finding joy should be a priority, and if someone or something is distracting from that, we have to examine why we are allowing that person or thing to distract us from the joy we deserve.

--

Topics Discussed:

  • Are we ready for the relationship we are in?
  • How to deal with someone else not being on the same page as you.
  • Choosing yourself before someone else.
  • Taking a good look at what stage of life you are in.
