Hello and welcome. I'm Dr. Krista Ryan and you're tuning into the journey from nurse to health coach. We are so excited that you are onboard with us today, and we're talking about a little bit of where we came from and why we're doing what we are doing. And I talked about how my original career was a helicopter pilot, and I.

Um, decided right when both me and my husband were doing the same job that I needed to do something different. And I became a chiropractor at that point, but because it was a second career for me, I dove right in to being a business owner, getting out of chiropractic college right away. I did locums for about a year.

Um, and then while I looked for a business. And while he looked for business, I ended up hiring a, a coach for the first time and that actually transformed my life and gave me the confidence to move forward that I didn't have otherwise. And so I want that for you guys actually want you to take your nursing career and transition into being a health coach with all the tools and skills that you have up to this moment, taking them and using them and building.

Letting that be the foundation that you can build on to get a better business for your body and yourself starting today. And why are we doing that? Most of the time we're doing that because for me as a chiropractor, with my in clinic, I'm using my body as a tool and my tool gets tired. Very often, and I actually have to transition into another career myself, and we're doing this journey together and I'm coaching you on business because I've developed the skills to create really successful businesses over the years, including in my own practice.

And I've done that for other people that have come on board with me as well. And so I want you guys to come alongside and join us on this journey from nurse to health coach and. Uh, we talked about how mechanics have a good understanding of how the engine functions and because they have a basic understanding, they're able to make tweaks to an engine in order to increase efficiency.

And as a nurse, you have building blocks within the body that you understand on a basic level that you can use to actually help your clients achieve. Within their own body. Um, and you don't have to do it with Tricia traditional diet and exercise advice. Part of this podcast, we're going to be diving into some of the things that I can teach you as a doctor of chiropractic, that'll help amplify and help you understand your clients without needing to see them in person and without having a doctor, um, coach you through the whole process.

So, um, we're going to talk about today. Why nurses? Produce better coaches and that's so, so important to understand so that you can move forward within your own health coaching career with the confidence that you have all the necessary tools, just like a. A mechanic can tweak an engine. You are able to tweak your patients in a way that gives them the desired results that they want.

Now, sometimes we have to actually understand our patients. Uh, we have to understand what their condition is and a lot of people, when they get into coaching, they don't necessarily understand what a diagnosis is. And when your patient is diagnosed with something, when you have a good understanding of what.

Happens within that diagnosis, such as you understand that the pancreas isn't working with diabetic patients, you were able to say, how could I look at that body as a whole? And how can I take that, um, diagnosis that, that, that certain patient has in order to help them achieve their health outcomes for themselves?

Because I want for you in each and every one. One of P each and everybody that comes into contact with my material. I want each and every one of you to be healthier tomorrow than you ever are today. And I want you to feel like this is an area where you can be a family in your healthcare journey with other people that are like-minded.

So we are so excited to create programs for you. Um, if you will. If you want to jump on board with me live, we do have a Facebook group. That's called the journey from nurse to health coach. And we go live in that group every Thursday. So bring your questions, bring things that you're struggling with, and I want to help you transform your life so that you can become a coach and you can thrive not just within your working environment, but at home with your family.

When you're. When you are your own boss, you're able to create your own hours. You're able to get all the things in the day that you need or might struggle with. And you actually have the tools to make yourself more efficient. And we are going to be talking about some of those tools that people use automatically on a, on a regular basis in order to increase efficiency.

And if you are looking at. Again, you want to go to the journey from nurse health coach and get on board in our Facebook group. It's a really easy entry because it's free. We just ask you to play by the rules of the group. So guys live with passion, have a great rest of your day. We are going to be talking a little bit more.

In the coming episodes of where you start as a nurse and as a health coach and how you move forward to become that health coach for your community. So live with passion guys.
