We are all born so innocent and full of joy, but then the world tends to tumble us around and sharpen our edges. And today, it is more and more apparent that we are losing our sense of humanity in the way we speak about one another and how we shut ourselves away from each other. What we forget, though, is that we are all guilty of inflicting pain or being the villain in someone’s story. But we also have the opportunity to do wonderful things and leave this world a better place than we found it.

Tune in to this episode as Evie reminds us of our humanity and challenges us to think about what more we could be doing. We have a beautiful life, but are we doing enough with it?

KEY POINTS:

  • We are born genuinely full of joy. What happens to us?!
  • Are we living in a time without humanity?
  • “Evil runs through the heart of every human”
  • How can we really make the world better?
  • You can do more and have a moral obligation to do so

QUOTABLES:

“Every time we see something wrong in the world and we deflect it away from us and say, ‘well, that's them, not me,’ we are losing the entire commonality amongst all humans - that we all have the potential for evil.”

“Repairing inhumanity comes from all of us becoming more humane.”
