#69 - Lori Meeboer
Manage episode 379256471 series 3436082
Today's episode is the hardest one I've recorded so far. And no I was definitely not okay!
For the first time Rosie speaks to a 'water widow' and emotions understandably are high. (had a panic attack minutes before recording)
Lori's husband drowned leaving her and her family devastated and reeling. A month long search ensued to find his body, leaving her trapped in a limbo that feels so familiar.
But as always , within these stories of devastation there are messages of love and strength and hope.
It made Jon cry from eight minutes in but it genuinely is a story of choosing to live after catastrophic loss and testimony to the wonderful woman that is Lori Meeboer (just don't make me say her surname!)
Let us know what you think, but do listen with caution as it carries a high mascara warning.
