Does your child struggle with separation anxiety or transitioning to daycare or being with other carers? This is such a common challenge that families face, and today we welcome back the incredible Lael Stone to share her wisdom on all things attachment and navigating separation anxiety.

If you haven’t already listened to episode 3 with Lael on raising resilient and compassionate children, we highly recommend you do (it is our most popular episode for a reason!). Lael is an educator, TEDx speaker, author, mother, and parenting counsellor who has been working with families for over 20 years. Her work as a birth educator, post-natal trauma counselor, and parenting educator has seen her work with thousands of families consulting about newborns all the way to the teen years. And probably most importantly - she is a wife and mother of three big kids - who are teenagers and young adults and she is currently putting all her research into practice with them!
You can connect with Lael on Instagram and Facebook as well as her new offering Motheration

In this podcast we cover:

  • whether there is an optimal age to start leaving our children so they (and we!) get used to it
  • what to do if our children struggle with drop offs
  • listening to our children and our intuition about carers
  • how to tend to our own big feelings about separating from our children
  • and so much more!

Today’s episode was brought to you by Once Upon. Both Luka and Kate have been creating photo books using the Once Upon App for years, and love not only how simple and fun it is to create beautiful books, but also to bring your photos off your camera roll and into your home! They have also just launched an individual photo printing service, which make really cute Christmas gift tags too! To create your very own photo book today, just download the Once Upon app on your phone or tablet, and start adding photos – or collaborating on a book with family or friends.
