Sylvia Hall is the proud mom of two teenagers and co-founder of GAB-on!. With a 15+ yearscareer in strategic and relationship marketing, she pivoted her energy and dedication tonavigatingthe world of special education in both private and public schools on behalf of her sonwho learns differently. Sylvia holds a certificate from Harvard E.D.U. “Family Engagement inEducation”; has been recognized by WomensNet, Northeast Arc, RI 50 on Fire,and CODiEAwards for GAB-on!; is living the adolescent parenting journey in the moment; and tends tospontaneously bring rescue pups.

Jarrid Hall is the proud dad of two teens, an idea-generator, and builder of GAB-on!. His resumeincludes years of business development and sales at Fortune 500 companies and startupsdomestically and in Europe. He started his first business at age 12, went on to build the USbusiness for a Dutch startup, and spent time in London to open a new technology market. Hebuilt GAB-on! to connect with his kids and to show them how to be unafraid to try to startsomething from scratch and to be involved in an effort for the impact it can have.\

Michael Nakkula, Ph.D., is a Professor of Practice and Chair of the Division of HumanDevelopment and Quantitative Methods at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School ofEducation. He teaches courses on adolescent development and the intersection of counseling,mentoring, and education within urban public schools. Among his publications, ProfessorNakkula is the lead author of Understanding Youth: Adolescent Development for Educators(#CommissionsEarned)(2006, Harvard Education Press) and Building Healthy Communities forPositive Youth Development (#CommissionsEarned) (2010, Springer Academic Press). ProfessorNakkula’s three-volume edited collection on possibility development for young people aroundthe world addresses the ways in which youth perspectives on their future are both supportedby and at times undermined by the opportunity structures that surround them (AdolescentPsychology in Today’s World: Global Perspectives on Risk, Relationships, and Development(#CommissionsEarned), Praeger Press, 2018).

GAB-on! helps kids who learn differently remember their day and talk about it with theirparents. These small conversations about their day turn into bigger conversations about socialsituations, peer relationships, and the world around them. As we get to know our unique kidsbetter, we can connect and parent them better.
