What do you do for clinical growth as a business owner? We get a lot of questions around this topic, and hardly anyone feels good about where they're at - we want to validate there are seasons in the business and in your clinical career!
Often business owners think clinical education is going to translate to business success. "Someone dropped off - I need to get more skills"
"If I get this certificate, I'll get more patients"
"If I can better treat pelvic pain patients I'll get more of them calling"
In fact, your clinical skills have almost nothing to do with patient buy-in and their ultimate success! We've seen this as we teach 'Clinical Excellence' to business owners in the Accelerator Program - they often see a dramatic difference in the average number of visits, patients finishing their plan of care and patient outcomes....without any other clinical skills!
On the other side of the coin, you might not be doing any con-ed at all for pelvic right now and feeling guilty about it. There's a time to invest (both in dollars and time) in the business and grow the practice. So don't feel guilty if you can't focus on both business and clinical growth right now.
Ultimately there are seasons in the business - you may have times when the business takes your full attention. Other times when things are running smoothly and you can invest more on the clinical side.
