More About Sandra

Sandra Montes is a bilingual, Latina therapist and the owner of In Motion Counseling, PLLC, a virtual group practice serving POC women and teens. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a certified alcohol and other drug counselor (CADC).

Sandra has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. Using a trauma-informed lens, Sandra has helped clients with depression, anxiety, and stress management. Sandra is a firm believer in a strength-based perspective. She also focuses on behavioral activation or "moving", helping clients become motivated to move their physical bodies to feel relief from their emotional states. This ties in very well with one of her passions, running. Sandra leads a group of runners in Berwyn and has completed several marathons.
