It is not uncommon for women to experience an increase in appetite or to engage in binge eating behavior before their period.

Cravings are a normal part of the menstrual cycle and it is okay to give into them, but for people who struggle with an eating disorder, engaging in binge eating behavior, or consistently overeating, can have negative effects on physical and mental health.

If you turn to food for comfort or to cope with the emotional symptoms of PMS, such as mood swings or irritability, listen to today’s show.
