How can we achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050?

If you’re interested in being part of the challenge to reach Net Zero Emissions by 2050 listen to my guest Dr Reem Swidah Phd a post-doctoral researcher at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology whose work aims to harness the exceptional evolutionary abilities of synthetic yeast strains to produce biofuels as a potential replacement for fossil fuels.
Dr Reem won a L’Oréal UNESCO For Women In Science award for her work 2024. She has always defended her rights and advocates for women’s rights at work. Challenging stereotypes, she believes diversity in STEM drives progress and innovation. That does not mean she's not not faced challenges in her career, but she was always prepared not to be shaken off her path.
She shows us that we can all take the opportunity to contribute to climate solutions by making different choices in our personal lives, encouraging education for climate action and supporting moves to replace fossil fuels.
