#172: Scott Mabrey is Chief Executive Officer of Mabrey Bank. Mabrey Bank is a $1.7 billion community bank with 15 locations throughout Oklahoma. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Mabrey Bank and Mabrey Bancorporation. Scott first joined the bank in 2001 after working 3.5 years at Bank of Oklahoma in Corporate Lending.
An active civic member, Scott has served on the boards or volunteered for a variety of organizations including the American Red Cross, Friends of the Fairgrounds Foundation, Oral Roberts University Athletics Council, Holland Hall Independent School, Bixby Chamber of Commerce, Bixby Optimist Club, and the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Regional Chamber, Committee of One Hundred, the Board of Governors for Southern Hills Country Club and also volunteers on various committees at Southern Hills.
On the show Scott shares his story of growing up, influence of his parents, playing college golf, the importance of law school, perspective after serious car incidents, getting into banking, authenticity, building culture, being prepared, confidence, making decisions, and much more.
