Mike called me one day out of the blue to see if I would be a test pilot for his new off-road handcycle. He’d seen me in a local newspaper article. Returning to the woods sounded awesome. His idea was revolutionary--rear wheel drive, kneeling position, dual steering, even if the prototype was exactly that in the beginning. I thank Mike for being able to imagine the One-Off Handcycle, which transformed my world and provided the platform for me to climb Kilimanjaro.
