EP 013 - How coming out to my parents changed my life in different ways w/ KC Cordova
Manage episode 332708246 series 3340781
Welcome to Episode 013 of the CVD podcast! 🙂
KC Cordova is a close friend and one of my favourite people on the planet because of how authentic he really is.
He is a performer, an artist, a singer, a marketing professional, and a gay man from the Philippines. He takes so much pride (pun intended) in who he is and is unapologetically himself, but it's taken a lot for him to get to this point.
In this episode, KC talks about growing up in the Philippines and how he struggled with the culture, as gayness wasn't accepted. He shares that he felt tremendous pressure to be great at everything so that people would tolerate him being gay.
KC also takes us through what it was like opening up to his parents and how a coaching program really helped him have that tough conversation with his mom, changing their relationship forever.
I hope this episode inspires you to take a step towards living life as your authentic self, if you're not already there. And I also hope that you learn more about accepting others for who they really are, because we all deserve to be ourselves and to be loved ❤️
Enjoy!
