Young skipper Lil' Slay joins Second Mate The Slayer and Captain Whiskey on our voyage across the seas of presidency.
We start our journey with discussing how our college classes are going. It quickly shifts into the conversation of what decisions minors should or should not be capable of making, and then the pros and cons of homeschooling.
From there, it's the latest update on Lil' Slay's social life and future plans, as well as how Lent is treating him so far. The Slayer recaps his Lent sacrifices for those who didn't listen to the prior episodes.
I find out the both of The Slayers don't know who Jimmy Buffet is or what he sang. The mention of Jimmy's recent death brings up the even more recent passing away of Toby Keith. This leads into topics of death and patriotism, as well as men crying. Lil' Slay brings up the question of what masculinity is and what it means to be a man, where we all give some input. Tied into that is the erasure of history and changing everything from what it was.
I share my disappoints with the propagandized and movie-like version of the military I had in my head compared to what it was like, and how the front-line life is so different from the operator life at home port. We talk about how most men in the Navy dream about being a Navy Seal, and how the world is changing.
Going back to the topic of masculinity, we discuss in depth men crying. When is it alright? Moments of passionate weeping. Death. Proposals. The Slayer shares a beautiful story of the tears shed by a saint over the love of God and the world we live in. Then, we shift into the perfection of Jesus Christ, as well as how humble God was to become man. I go into Jesus crying, as well as God, and how powerful that is and what it means for us. I encourage everyone, as always, to read the Bible, regardless of their faith.
This leads us into Lil' Slay bringing up a Bible verse that is powerful. We discuss it, as well as accountability.
We get into the latest with Lil' Slay's dating life and studies. He also reminisces over his time as Prom King. As per the norm, I say I'm going to tell a story and then never actually do it. The Slayer teases some info from a high school slow dance that he shared in an episode coming out soon, before going into some details about his recent Command Holiday Party. He then explains his fursona, and the speed at which he delivers is extremely suspicious.
Lil' Slay gives his take on being a stay-at-home father and husband.
I explain why my mom thinks I'm gay... (Which, I'm not)
