It's the final episode of Throwback Thursday. Glad to finally have these old episodes out of the way. While the content is good, it's not at all as great as my newer content, especially technology-wise with the audio. But this is it! So, it only goes up from here.
Starting things off, we discuss burnout, and what a toll and burden the military can be, as well as life. Not just physically, but especially mentally and emotionally. As a result, we get into the military schedule and the reality of it.
I encourage, in regard to the hardships of the military, such as the schedule and burnout, the formation of friends and attending social gatherings.
From there, we get into conversations about how the past shapes and molds us, and what can significantly affect our mindset. The Slayer gets into the idea of indications from a partner or potential partner and how communication is so important. This includes being led on, both intentionally and unintentionally. The Slayer gets personal with it by sharing a story from high school, and his "secret" relationship with a cheerleader.
Then, it's the Constitution, government, and policy-making, though not a political conversation. we get into the structure of government in our society while also pondering the psychology and ripple-effects of The Slayer's choices in high school, relating back to the earlier part of the conversation.
We ponder Heaven for a moment, especially certain beliefs that are interesting, to say the least.
Then, it's the nostalgic remembrance of getting recruited! (Sarcasm, of course.)
Next, we talk about the different positions and lifestyles in the Navy. The Slayer gets into job satisfaction and purposes in life.
We end things with a quick snippet on parenting, sex before marriage, pregnancy, and other controversial topics before getting into The Slayer's tragic guitar memories.
