The woman stepped back, and away, from the cave. She clenched her shield and had a quickened pace in her step. She kept an eye on the creature through the window of the black riot shield. In the shade, of the mouth of the cave, it continued to come towards her as it fired its bow again, a second arrow sticking into the shield. The woman stepped into the sunlight, and the monster did the same. Just as the skeleton stepped into the light, it burst into flames. The creature ran back into the cave and hopped into a pool of water, extinguishing the fire. The woman, now a considerable distance from the beast, made a dash for the cover of some foliage. From the covering, she monitored and observed the creature. The creature looked like a dried out human skeleton, no clothing, and the only thing on its person was the weapon it had used against her.

After a few minutes of observation, she could see that the creature was unable to step outside of its cave; and, more than likely, unable to step out of the darkness of the cave. After coming upon this thought she looked up, towards the sky, at the sun; from the position it was in it looked like it was about midday. Unwilling to be caught off guard, she began to look for shelter. The young woman began to use the axe, from her gear vest, to gather wood. After gathering enough, which constituted to the amount of about one ten foot tree, she began to break the logs into rough planks and sticks. Thanks to her short study of architecture, before dropping out in favor of police academy, she was able to make most basic structure types. She found a large flat rock slab and placed some of the longer sticks she had whittled, into a conical shape. She placed three compact emergency space blankets around the sticks and left a small opening at the top, and then tied the whole structure with the various belts she had on her. She then proceeded to crawl into the structure, and then she built a small fire at the center of it. She saw the light of the day, as it quickly dimmed away.

The structure was big enough for the petite five foot woman to sleep a decently comfortable distance from the fire. However, she was unable to take any rest, the questions in her mind had pervaded her thoughts, but they had not had the time to process; she needed time to think. But, this would not be a night for thought. She could hear the sounds of the bony creature dragging its way across the ground, towards the tent.
