Welcome to another episode of the show, dear listeners! Recording this episode was an experience, to say the least! Initially having planned to tackle some controversial topics after a minor Instagram post blew up, I ended up reconsidering my views on the subject. I wanted a more nuanced discussion than Instagram allowed, so here Jesse and I are - diving into those topics on the podcast! Brace yourself; this could be the episode that gets us canceled, but if you decide to stick around, thank you so much!

The controversy that erupted from my Instagram stories regards the moon landing, a thought process that was prompted by my recently having seen the film Fly Me to the Moon. It seems questioning established narratives ruffles feathers! I reveal my surprise at learning about multiple moon landings (something I hadn't realized) and how this influenced my stance on the subject. Jesse and I discuss the importance of questioning narratives without necessarily being a conspiracy theorist and the healthy skepticism that can lead to personal growth.

We also, on a lighter note, reflect on recent travel misadventures, including a series of flight delays and unexpected challenges during a trip to Florida. Jesse recounts their trip, highlighting dining at Michie Tavern, and David's newfound skill of escaping his playpen! We also discuss parenting challenges and the humorous moments we've encountered with our kids, like Micah's evolving vocabulary and David's curiosity about our jacuzz!

Throughout the episode, I invite listeners to explore different perspectives and encourage open, respectful dialogue, even when opinions diverge, so buckle up and join us for a thought-provoking conversation filled with laughter, reflection, and maybe a bit of controversy (but hopefully not so much that we lose any listeners!).
