Ep. 92: Mike Vardy - How To Manage Your Time. Advice From a Productivity Expert
Manage episode 285127466 series 2537642
In today’s episode, I want to introduce you to productivity strategist, Mike Vardy. You may be wondering how speaking about productivity fits into the themes we cover on this podcast and let me tell you why I think that it fits perfectly.
Because I know that if you are listening to this podcast you have maybe experienced the loss of a child or spouse, a divorce or other relational loss, jobs, income, and so many other things. You have had a lot of tragedy and compounded trauma, especially after this most difficult year. It is easy for us to get stuck in the Waiting Room with anxiety and overwhelm when we wake up in the morning, confronted by everything we have to do. Our survivor self makes it hard to even do the most basic of tasks.
My goal for this conversation with Mike was for you to come away from listening with a feeling of empowerment and with meaningful actions that feel easy to do. These actions are what I call plug-ins in the Life Reentry Model, and they are what will slowly move you out of the Waiting Room and into your new life, they are what support you to reenter.
“Time is a part of who we are. Filter your focus, define your day, and make every moment matter.” ~ Mike Vardy
Mike shares some of his best tools and strategies for crafting your time to focus on what is truly important. By crafting your time and discerning where you give your attention, you begin intentionally crafting your life.
From theming your days and looking at everything we have to do as a project, Mike offers very practical and attainable action steps that you can begin to incorporate into your life today.
I’d love to hear what you take away from this conversation and if you’ll be incorporating some of Mike’s tips into your days from now on. Please comment below or share with me on social media!
