On this month’s podcast, Simone Vescio is talking with Gemma Watts, who is an incredibly talented journalist, presenter, podcast host, beauty influencer and businesswoman, working across fashion and beauty. Gemma has been working in the Australian media landscape since 2012 for over five years, having worked simultaneously as a contributing Beauty Writer and eventually Editor for L’Oréal Paris Australia’s advertorial website.

In 2016 Gemma launched, Glow Journal, which is an editorial platform featuring only the very best in beauty. Not long after, the Glow Journal Podcast was launched in 2018, which takes listeners on a behind the scenes look at the business of beauty with company founders. Gemma also directs, Glow Journal Creative, a boutique copywriting studio that specialises in Australian beauty, design and wellness.

This is a jam-packed, feature length episode as we breakdown Gemma’s career from the early days to making the leap to freelance. We then dive right into skincare and chat about her experience with the dermaviduals products, plus Gemma’s thoughts on the future of skincare.
