There is a remarkable power that arises when you intentionally pursue your dreams. However, a lot of people become bogged down with self-sabotaging excuses that stunt their progress. The most common excuses are “I’m too old to pursue my dreams.” or “I’m too busy with the kids to pursue my dreams.” The truth is, there is never an ideal time to go after our dreams. There will never be enough time in the day, we have to intentionally make the time. There will never be the amount of support from others to motivate us, day in and day out. We have to motivate ourselves. I am reminded of a famous quote by John Wooden, "Don't give up on your dreams, or your dreams will give up on you."

Regrettably, many individuals abandon their dreams and aspirations. Today, I dare you to dream big, and never give up… no matter how old you are and no matter what discouragements you may face. This is the most vital gift you can give to yourself. My guest today, Angie Wells, is a beautiful testament to this.

Angie has successfully led the makeup department on numerous film and TV shows, collaborating with world-renowned directors as well as A-list actors in Hollywood, Europe, and New York City. She contributed to nearly 100 episodes of the popular show “ Blackish''. Angie has received two Emmy nominations and a MUAH Guild Award nomination. Her career took a remarkable turn when she was asked to design and do the makeup for the show” Mudbound” in 2017, followed by “Harriet” in 2019. Angie's journey in music began in an intimate Parisian supper club in Paris, where she joined a trio for a few tunes and was met with explosive applause from the audience. From there, her career in Jazz was sparked. Angie is a remarkable testament and inspiration to anyone who may be feeling like their dreams are being snuffed out. And to make matters even better, Angie seamlessly combines consistent, hard work with a glamorous touch! Tune in today for the motivation you may need to powerfully pursue your dreams!
