In this episode, we have the opportunity to talk with Alice Siu, the Associate Director for the Deliberative Democracy Lab at Stanford University. She joins us to discuss economic issues surrounding deliberation and sortition – highlighting ways to improve our democracy with citizen participation.

Alice has devoted much of her time and research to examining the socio-economic effects of deliberative polling and obtaining the opinions of an informed public.
