Guest: Tracey Watkins
Trigger warning: NDAs, Hijacking and Burnout.
Tracey Watkins shares her #DaretoBeLove story with us and questions if the prolonged effects of PTSD exacerbate the Saviour Mentality.
Tracey faced anger after multiple traumas, a car accident, a near-death experience, and a hijacking with her two young children. Her anger took over when people told her, 'At least you are all ok’. Not knowing how to process these emotions, Tracey struggled with depression, anxiety and PTSD.
Devoting herself to her work, students and community, Tracey forgot to fill her cup, leading to chronic burnout. While surrounded by a loving family, Tracey says she has never felt so alone. Tracey decided to re-evaluate her lifestyle.
Jacqui and Tanagh unpack Tracey’s courageous story of facing her traumas to find peace through continuous growth – an ongoing journey for us all.
Listen in on our conversation with Tracey as we discuss the topics of dissociation, the psychology of trying to fix others to heal ourselves, and how Tracey awakens on the show to a part of herself that needs more nurturing.
Jacqui and Tanagh walk Tracey through the importance of integrating your Spirit into your body, mind and soul healing modalities to find complete healing.
