Daniel and Laurie talk about the Rockin the Desert Mud Run held in Apple Valley, California on Aug 25th 2012.

Work out Update

Daniel – He had so much going on he forgot to exercise.

Laurie – Kept her same routine in preparation for the race. She added extra distance to her run and increase her weights.

Rockin’ the Desert Mud Run

Rockin the Desert Mud Run was a 5K obstacle course that consisted of about 18 obstacles. This was a great beginners race, but still provided a variety of obstacles that could be enjoyed by the seasoned obstacle racer. Obstacle highlights included an ice bath, water slide, trenches, beautiful scenery and lots of mud. Along with the regular race heats, Rockin the Desert also had a Kid’s one mile run, lots of local vendors and great food options. For those who didn’t get enough mud during the race there was Mudfest – giant mud pits set up for volleyball and other mud-themed sports.
