Portmanteau - 2 words combined to form another word, like "smog" (smoke + fog) "internet" (interconnection and networks) "chortle" (chuckle + snort) or Juneteenth which combines June with 19—the day in 1865 that commemorates the emancipation of the last American slaves and the official end of slavery. It's been celebrated by multitudes for just shy of 160 years, so we figured it was time to join in because it's a great thing to celebrate, especially since we are the official podcast of the Holidays. Slavery is something that hits us all, but maybe in ways you've never considered. Listen and see what we're talking about and Happy Juneteenth!
