Dr. Madrid discusses the numerous health benefits of cranberries, a seasonal favorite. Cranberries are rich in antioxidants and help protect the body from many conditions such as: -Urinary infections -High blood pressure and cholesterol -High blood sugar in diabetes -Anticancer properties -Digestive benefits One cup or 220 grams of chopped cranberries contains: 50 calories 13.2 grams of carbohydrates (4.7 grams of sugar) 4 g of fiber (25 mg per day of fiber is advised) 10 milligrams (mg) of calcium 7 mg of magnesium 12 mg of phosphorus 88 mg of potassium 15 mg of vitamin C 70 IU of vitamin A 5.50 mcg of vitamin K Cranberries also contain thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin B6.
