"It's true that home decor is not going to solve the world's problems, but living in a home that nurtures and delights your soul is replenishing in a way that most of us can relate to." -Ellen Nystrom

Join Ellen and I for a conversation about mindfully creating a space that nourishes and delights.

Here's a sneak peak of what we discuss:

  • Ellen shares simple, affordable tips for creating spaces at home that are nourishing and why that is important
  • How to create a work from home space when you don't have much space
  • Ellen's favorite yoga pose and how it inspired her #chairoftheweek posts on social media
  • Make it Home: a nonprofit that Ellen is involved with

If you're curious about the yoga pose Ellen mentions, supported hero, I made a short video just for you with a more accessible, but still supported and heart-opening, shape: restorative fish. Check it out here!

Ellen is the founder of Nystrom Design, a boutique interior design firm serving clients since 2009. Eternally fascinated with the human experience of design, and its power to evoke an emotional response, Ellen draws on an array of influences to design personalized homes for her clients, and especially loves the challenge of integrating family heirlooms in unexpected ways. Common threads of the Nystrom Design style are clean lines, a gracious flow, regard for artwork and craftsmanship, and the use of color. With these underlying principles, Ellen skillfully blends classic and modern styles to create forever homes that nurture and delight her clients.

Ellen spends her free time on outdoor adventures with her husband, two sons, and rescue pup, or working in the garden of her San Francisco home.
