Starting in the late 1950s, fats became the enemy to weight loss, and the low-fat fad began. Yet in recent years, we now see a swing in the opposite direction, and now experts argue that diets relying almost solely on fat (like keto) are actually the best way to LOSE weight. So do we need no fat or a lot of it? Although they are the most calorie-dense of all the macronutrients, we still need them and need to learn the best strategies for how to obtain the good fats while cutting the bad ones.
