In a society where we eat and do what we want without thinking of the long-term consequences, a big part of the nutrition/health industry is fixing life-style diseases after they have already developed. So many efforts going to treating diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and gut problems, but where is the focus on making preventative lifestyle choices to eliminate the risks of these problems before they develop? This is the idea of holistic and functional nutrition, and Amy White tells us how to adopt this approach by listening to our bodies and finding the right balance to put us at our best!
