Imposter syndrome is when we know what we are doing, but doubt creeps in and tries to tell us that we are inadequate to do the task. Often it comes in as nervousness, anxiety, and fear. It can be crippling if we allow it because it can keep us from asking.

The thing is, we have to take a step back and evaluate, realizing that we are fully capable, that we have prepared for the task at hand, and have the necessary skills and training in order to pursue and go after the thing that is before us.

Often this can be as simple as deep breathing and recenter ourselves. This allows us to realize that often it is just our nerves that are firing up, which can be a good thing, as it can keep us on our toes, and helps us do the best we can.
