Welcome to our latest guided meditation and mindful practice with host Paula Lamb, who is a Health & Personal Growth Coach.
This guided meditation is for those of you who struggle with insomnia, wake during the night and can't fall back to sleep, struggle with switching off the mind, & are seeking a natural way to a peaceful night's rest. Let Paula's gentle and tranquil guidance work toward deactivating the brain regions that are thought to underlie mind chatter, & bring peace and tranquility to your body.
A good night's rest has numerous benefits from your mood, to your brain performance, to your health. Not getting enough quality zzzzzz raises the risk of many diseases and disorders.
Many people negate the importance of a good night's rest and there is more to a good night's sleep than just hours spent in bed.
Sleep tips: 6 steps to a better sleep

  1. Stick to a sleep schedule. Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep.
  2. Shut off any technology one hour before bed. [ipads, iphones]
  3. Pay attention to what you eat and drink: Don't go to bed hungry or straight after a heavy meal | Avoid sugar before bed | Avoid caffeine typically 8 hours before bedtime.
  4. Create a restful environment. A dark cool room helps support a good night's rest.
  5. Including physical activity in your daily routine, perhaps a walk after dinner time all help those of you who struggle with insomnia and getting enough shut eye.
  6. Manage your stress levels.
