INNER STRENGTH MEDITATION - MEDITATION SPACE Meditation can help you do more than slow down your racing thoughts-it can help you think quicker. It can help you adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. It can be a key tool in promoting resilience. Without doubt, stress reduction improves resilience, giving us inner strength. Meditation teaches us that we can afford to relax, we can afford to be present. Even if something difficult happens, we can bounce back. We call this gaining resilience. Resilience is the quality of not giving up, no matter how many times we fall back into a pattern of grasping and tension. You can develop resilience by learning to train your attention on more-positive aspects of your life. You use purposeful, trained attention to decrease negative thoughts in your mind and bring greater focus on the most meaningful aspect of an experience. Truly resilient people are able to focus on what they can change and ignore what they can't. Attempt to evaluate your level of control over a situation. Ask yourself, “What can I take responsibility for?" Accepting circumstances that can't be changed can help you focus on conditions that you can alter. Meditation is a practise that can really make your life better. A practise that changes and improves your life in ways you might not expect. So we need to do the right things and set up the right conditions if we’re going to change. Let yourself relax and let go. Enjoy this session.
