ELEMENTS & EMOTIONS MEDITATION - MEDITATION SPACE - JOEY BUSUTTIL
Earth, water, fire, and air are four natural elements that represent different aspects of life. Connecting to each one is the basic principle behind the practice of what's often called “elemental meditation”, which is taught in yoga retreats and addiction recovery centers.
The basic concept of meditation is that it is a practice that connects the mind and the body. Its purpose is to help increase both physical and mental peace and calm, which also helps you to learn how to live more fully in the present.
Both water and fire are seen as living entities that possess a will and a spirit of their own. Water and fire symbolize life, fertility, creativity and inspiration in cultures around the world. At the same time, water and fire also represent loss, death, and destruction.
Contemplating the Four Foundations of Mindfulness—mindfulness of the body, of feelings, of the mind, and of phenomena themselves—is recommended for all practitioners.
Meditation is a practise that can really make your life better. A practise that changes and improves your life in ways you might not expect.
So we need to do the right things and set up the right conditions if we’re going to change. Let yourself relax and let go.
