[Warning: this episode contains an account of a violent attack.]

It has long been known that forgiveness is the path to inner peace and happiness. And there are further, immense benefits from being able to let go of resentment and anger towards those who have wronged us: forgiveness has been shown to lead to remarkable physical healing from all sorts of long-term conditions.

It was my huge privilege to sit down with someone who genuinely epitomizes the quality of forgiveness. Dr Nasser Kurdy is an orthopedic surgeon who, in 2017, was stabbed in the neck while entering the grounds of his local mosque.

You'll hear how his act of his forgiveness towards his attacker has transformed his life and continues to energize him to this day.

This is a deeply inspiring conversation that I think will leave you with a lasting sense of hope and optimism.

Dr Kurdy shares his profound reflections on what happened to him in his new book: A Reply to Hate: Forgiving My Attacker.

If you would like to find more inspiration to reach forgiveness in your own life, I also recommend this book: Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All by Gerald Jampolsky.

Here is the forgiveness meditation I mention in this episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPKzgdO-VfY
