While searching for the cure for Alzheimer's, Dr. Susan McCallister has been conducting research on a remote underwater facility using sharks. Unbeknownst to the rest of her team, she has genetically altered the size of their brains unintentionally giving them near human intelligence. When the sharks decide they no longer want to be held captive, they flood the station and the researchers must now try to escape with their lives from these deadly creatures.
