What to say and when/where to have them is absolutely crucial. You need to build rapport early on and the best way to do so is before the consult through small talk. Someone who is willing to trust you with their health and money deserves 30-60 minutes with you. the consult is very important for them as well as for you. Define the setting for where and how the consult will be conducted. There is one very important thing you must do during the consult when dealing with a parent and athlete. Cash Out: -Giving your client a book based on your system. -Having a designated place specifically for consults. -Remember the purpose of the consult. -Return to Play program = Unique Selling Position -Build rapport before the consultation starts.
