I’ve never talked to anyone about their experience with being adopted, let alone losing their adoptive parent as a young adult. This one gets into that, with Theodora Blanchfield. (This one is labeled Explicit, so keep that in mind when/where you're listening.)

Theodora has been blogging, writing professionally, for a lot of years. She’s been published in various online spaces, and most recently that work has included freelance writing, contributing deeply personal essays, and pieces on mental health. She’s also well on her way to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a relatively new resident of LA after spending most of her life in NY and DC, and is learning to surf.

This episode covers a lot of grief, trauma, parental relationships, cancer, loss, money, adoptive experiences, and more. If any of that doesn’t feel good or safe to you right now, take care of yourself.
