There are a number of women who have undergone breast implant surgeries that are silently suffering from the effects of breast implants. Unfortunately, there is not much conversation around breast implant illness, leading to misdiagnosis and persisting pain. In this episode, Corinna Bellizzi is joined by actress, producer, and mother of three sons turned health detective Candice Barley. After being incapacitated from the effects of her breast implants, Candice started becoming a patient advocate. She had her explant surgery in 2019 and spent the subsequent two years healing from BII (breast implant illness). Candice shares with us her journey of recovery, shedding light on the struggles many women are not aware of. Follow along to this conversation and feel empowered to be your best advocate.
