I start a new side series, Marvel Phase 4. In Part 1, I discuss the 2021 Marvel MCU movies, Black Widow; Shang-chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings; and Eternals.
(1) Black Widow:

(2) Shang-chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings:
- Talk about how this movie redeemed the Mandarin's character from Iron Man 3; I talk about the Mandarin's comic book back story. How they combined the Mandarin and Dr Fu-Manchu in the comic books to create the Wenwu character in the Shang-Chi movie.
- I talk about Shang-Chi's comic book backstory.
- I talk about the family dynamic between Shang-Chi family; I compare how it's similar to Black Widow's family dynamic.
- I talk about how Marvel made a great Kung-fu movie with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings; how it kepts the core elements of a classic kung-fu movie's story.
- I talk about how Shang-Chi is connected into the MCU. Did we reveal the Phase 4 macguffin?
(3) Eternals:
- Not much to say about a movie I was not satisfied with.
I give my final thoughts on the MCU Phase 4 movies.
