There is a lot of exciting research going on right now in the world of psychedelic medicine. So much, in fact, that it can be difficult to keep track of it all. Where do you go for reliable information? How do you interpret results? How is it that studies with similar hypotheses can have contradictory findings? In today’s episode of the Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers podcast, we’re going to discuss these questions while we walk you through a few studies that Reid and I found interesting. Expect to learn what psilocybin does to the brain, how psychedelic experiences affect death anxiety, how the therapeutic relationship influences outcomes in psychedelic-assisted therapy, whether or not remembering a psychedelic experience has a connection to positive mental health outcomes, and much more.
For those of you who are new to the show, welcome! Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers is brought to you by Numinus and is hosted by Dr. Steve Thayer and Dr. Reid Robison.
