Dating situations can commonly bring up anxiety, stress, or apprehension. Worry about the situation can be a common automatic coping strategy, however not the most effective. In Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) there is a skill called 'Cope Ahead Planning' which can help the mind switch from worry to problem solving.
