Trina Gragg-Jackson born and raised in the Asheville area. Trina Gragg -Jackson has been a staple in her community. Giving of her time and resources to many of her students.
Trina attended St Augustines University majoring in Business Management and minoring in Computer Science. She later attended Beauty College and received her NC cosmetology instructor's license and NC public school teachers license. She started her Career first as an Entrepreneur opening a small boutique named Razzmatazz on Wall Street, downtown Asheville! She transitioned beginning her long standing career with Asheville City Schools Working with adjudicated youth, and working as the director of Asheville High Cosmetology where she still is today. Ms Gragg -Jackson being an entrepreneur at heart opened her business that she co owns with her daughter, named Asheville Pro Lash Salon and Spa! She also is an author of a newly published book , From School to Work for Beauty Entrepreneurs , and the Author of a workbook for Beauty Entrepreneurs. She is the owner and president of The Beauty Coach by Trina Gragg-Jackson consulting firm. Her civic duties include raising money for breast cancer awareness through her project pink organization, She was featured in an ad campaign for Mission St Joseph Hospital to draw awareness to breast cancer. Also creating Move your body for Cancer.Trina helped in contributing to Hair Cuts For Kids , serving over 400 kids going back to school with free haircuts and school supplies, creating the Asheville High School Hair shows involving over 200 socially economically deprived and gifted children.She has been on many boards including the Asheville High equity board, PBIS, National Honor Society, CTE Honor Society,SSMT, A B Technical Cosmetology Department Board and more. She has been nominated for teacher of the year 5 times ,and has been the Walmart Teacher of the year in 2007. In the 2021-2022 school year was named the Asheville City School regional CTE Teacher of the year!
Ms Gragg-Jackson’s motto is …you too... can do! Having great gratitude for being a vessel of service to her family and community! With more or her legacy to come!
