"We are thrilled to be hosting this exciting event and to introduce Arlene G's new single to the world, as well as showcasing other top Salsa artists" said Alida Hernandez, Owner of Studio 33 & Nuestro Magazine. "Furthermore, we are proud to support Mujeres en Paz's the new official launch of the nonprofit dedicated to helping women in the music industry who have suffered or who are currently experiencing harassment and sexual pressures.
The organization was founded with the goal of providing support, resources, and advocacy for women in the music industry who have been impacted by sexual harassment, assault, and other forms of inappropriate conduct. With a focus on empowering women and creating a safer and more inclusive music industry, Mujeres en Paz aims to create a culture of respect and dignity for all.
"Women in the music industry often face significant challenges and obstacles, including discrimination, harassment, and abuse," said Arlene G, founder of “Mujeres en Paz”. "Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for these women, where they can find help, resources, and a community of others who have experienced similar challenges."
Through a variety of programs and services, “Mujeres en Paz” will provide a range of services to women in the music industry, including counseling and support groups, legal assistance, education and training, and advocacy. Additionally, the organization will work closely with industry leaders and policymakers to promote policies and practices that support women's rights and safety.
"We believe that by working together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable music industry," said Arlene G. "We are excited to launch this new organization and look forward to making a difference in the lives of women in the music industry."
