Stephen Massey aka DJ Grind and I sit down and talk about his recent personal transformation thru Landmark Education. He shares a powerful story about his past, suicide and healing his relationship with his mother.

Stephen Massey is a social entrepreneur who’s worked in the social sector for more than two decades — both in the United States and abroad. As a White House National Security Fellow, he was the youngest staff person on the National Security Council staff during the Clinton Administration, and later served at the American Embassy in Lima, Peru. When he was 22, Stephen co-founded an HIV/AIDS policy organization in Russia, and spent 4 years in Moscow working with government officials, business leaders, media executives, and community groups to raise awareness and motivate action in response to the country’s surging AIDS epidemic. He later served as Staff Director for the Global Media AIDS Initiative, a UN-sponsored movement to mobilize the world’s biggest media companies in response to HIV/AIDS. Today, Stephen is co-founder and principal of Meteorite Social Impact Advisors, a boutique consulting and communications agency that partners with progressive organizations, forward-thinking brands, and visionary philanthropists to create solutions to society's complex challenges.

Stephen is also an accomplished DJ and music producer, and he’s toured the world under his stage name “DJ GRIND.” He’s well-known on the gay circuit for his joyful brand of uplifting anthems and feel-good house music, and he’s headlined many of the world’s biggest gay music festivals, including Winter Party, White Party Palm Springs, and Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, among many others. Based in Portland, OR, Stephen is also the unofficial taste tester at his partner’s award-winning artisan bakery. Stephen is a senior graduate of the Landmark Curriculum for Living, as well as the Landmark Communications Course. He just turned 40, and he’s feeling transformed.
