Lauren is joined by John Sime, a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Shopify. Shopify is of course known to the world as being the global commerce brand. John is a product and technology-focused marketer, whose work has spanned e-commerce, consumer packaged goods, and tourism for B2B and B2C. He works closely with sales, UX and creative teams to make it all come together. John is happiest when there's a healthy dose of ambiguity and a problem that needs some defining.
In the episode, Lauren and John discuss how best to leverage technology in marketing, how businesses should measure the success of their retention strategies, and why, in marketing, no one really knows what they’re doing.
