In this episode, we are going to discuss the difference between men and women. Contrary to popular belief, Women are not Men. Their bodies are different, but the research world, the athletic world, don’t treat them as such. Today I’m here with Helene Guillaume the CEO of WILD.AI, a company that is looking to solve the issue that the medical world has widely considered women as another version of men (80% of research done on male mice!) - whereas women are.. very different! Now you must forgive me, as though I think this topic is very important but I’m very naive when it comes to women’s natural menstrual cycle and hormones. But as most coaches are male (in fact about 97% of Male sports coaches are male and 60% of female athletic coaches are male according to the NCAA) I think my perspective may be helpful to this conversation. Helene is going to break down the key differences between men and women in athletics and what that means for a coach or athlete.
