This is Episode 20 today, with a well-known fitness coach, father, and a qualified elite 15 Hyrox athlete, and also proud to be a fellow Team Myzone athlete with him.

Mr. Tom Hogan lives in Ireland, he is 41 years young, Father of 4 kids between the ages of 10-21 years of age. And his family is recognized as “Ireland’s fittest family”, and he has represented Ireland for over a decade as a mountain runner.

Tom also owns a Printing Business, he is an Online fitness Coach with his wife Dena and is the business partner with Hunter McIntrye for BLDR sports products.

What were your biggest accomplishments as an athlete?

Represented Ireland for over a decade in mountain running,

What are your biggest accomplishments in business or in your professional career?

Starting and growing a family business which also now employs our kids

What is your biggest accomplishment as a father (in regard to your family members)?

Surviving :)

When did the competitive side of you begin? and please walk us through the sports you may have played as a kid into an adult: 12/13 years old. GAA, soccer, running, hyrox

What was the dynamic with your parents? who brought you to sports and etc?

Father played GAA to the highest level and was and is sports mad

What kind of competitive athletic events did you compete in before kids as an adult?

GAA and soccer

What kind of competitive events do you compete in now as a father??

Running/Hyrox

What does your training schedule look like now as a father? (hours per week est)

12-15hr

How have you adapted/adjusted and what changes have you made competing and/or training as a father?

Training is a little less structured, done at less-than-ideal times

What are some things or ways you stay present as a father balancing training and fatherhood? They train with me

Why do you train and/or compete? What drives that bug in you to compete?

To show the kids that in life no matter what you're doing if you work hard you can get to the top.

What kind of time management hacks have you conquered? Training in am or pm etc?

Train very early and very late to work around the kids,
