Deb Carson is an award-winning multimedia personality, writer, producer, mentor, financial coach, mom, and now podcaster. Carson’s podcast, Powered by Purpose with Deb Carson, recently launched.

During her groundbreaking sports radio career, Deb anchored national sports reports and delivered breaking news during Fox Sports Radio’s hit shows, including The Dan Patrick Show, The Rich Eisen Show and many more. Carson also served as Co-Host of FSR's The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Deb has been a frequent sports contributor to a variety of media outlets including TMZ Live, Premiere Networks' America Now with Meghan McCain and America Now with Andy Dean, KFI's The Bill Handel Show and a multitude of sports and news stations across the country.

Deb’s broadcasting journey began at Baylor University. After graduating from Baylor, she moved to L.A. to join Merv Griffin Enterprises’ production staff on the hit game show Wheel of Fortune. Carson has since made a name for herself as a TV host, anchor, reporter, and actor. She has worked on a variety of news and entertainment projects behind and in front of the camera. Deb has had the pleasure of appearing in dozens of films and TV shows including Dexter, Lethal Weapon, Evan Almighty, Will and Grace, Ghost Whisperer, Desperate Housewives, The Practice, and many more.

Carson serves on the board of the Southern California Sports Broadcasters and has mentored numerous up-and-coming broadcasters. Deb is also an advocate for pancreatic cancer awareness and research, and is a spokesperson and volunteer for various children’s organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, and Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.
Deb's Notes from the Sidelines:

  1. Be willing to go ask and try out. If you don't, you'll never have chances. Deb's advice is along the same lines as Wayne Gretzky's famous quote, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
  2. Deb always hears NO as NOT YET. Maybe your plan is not the way you originally envisioned it, and that's ok.
  3. Always be prepared. Opportunities are constantly being presented; you don't want to miss them.
  4. Every time we turn on the news, there's negativity. But there is so much beauty in the world. Not everyone can go to medical school, become a doctor, and save lives, and that is why everyone can do kind things for each other and make
