Angela Fuller is a mother, a dedicated fitness instructor, a competitive gymnast, an inspirational speaker, and even an American Ninja Warrior, as featured on NBC's latest season of ANW this summer. Angela's journey is a testament to her resilience, having overcome a broken back and battled through postpartum depression by choosing faith over fear. Today, at the age of 43, she defies expectations, flipping and soaring through the air. Angela's true passion lies in motivating mothers to rediscover their love for movement and self-care after having children, emphasizing that self-care is indeed self-love, an essential part of nurturing both yourself and your kids. Her mission is to inspire mothers, demonstrating that it's never too late to pursue your dreams.
Angela's Note's from the Sidelines:

  1. "Winning is different for everyone. I won just being there. I held my towel with pride."
  2. Showing up and giving it your all is winning.
  3. Going out, giving it your all, having fun, and being proud of yourself are the messages we need to promote and repeat.
  4. You can't always choose the outcome, but you can choose your attitude.
  5. Angela recommends returning to your childhood sport as an adult. Her experience is that she does not need the validation she sought as a child. She is having much more fun and showing herself grace and gratitude for what her body can do.
  6. The number one lesson she is teaching her children as they participate in competitive sports is sportsmanship and to treat other athletes with kindness and dignity. Her hope is that youth sports begins to put more of a focus on sportsmanship and less on the podium and trophies. "The child that has severe anxiety shows up to that game and gives it all they can and didn't even want to go there. They won, too. And let's celebrate them."
  7. She is trying to create a movement that tells women there is no expiration date on their dreams.
  8. Her best advice to midlife women is:
    1. Dream crazy big dreams and don't let mom guilt get in the way.
    2. It's never too late.
    3. Never give up once you do decide to chase the dream.
  9. You can't win without failing.
